Do Now:

Periods 1/2 & 5/6 - Take a Language Network book from the shelf. In the grammar section of your notebook, please take notes on page 6 of the Network book. Title the notes page Complete Subjects & Predicates. Bolded words on the page should go to the left of your margin and the associated rule should go to the right.

Then complete Practice & Apply on page 7 in your notebook grammar section.

Classwork:

Today we will finish up all 5 steps to the prewriting process.

Each time you complete a step you must bring that completed work to Mr. Beckwith for verification. If he says that it is done correctly, you may move on to the next step, but if he gives you corrections, you must rewrite your work and repeat the process.

Step 1 - write the restatement of the question - Completed

Step 2 - write the answer to the question - Completed

Step 3 - Cite evidence from the text to support your answer - Completed

Step 4 - Explain fully WHY YOUR CITATION SUPPORTS YOUR ANSWER - Completed

Step 5 - Summarize your answer - In Progress

Tuesday of the Other June is on page 206 of the Literature textbook.

Once Mr. Beckwith has checked your Step 5, you may begin writing your rough draft.
