Do Now: Blog - What is your favorite genre of story and why?

Classwork: Given the story "The Dog of Pompeii", I will write a 3-4 paragraph narrative describing the events of the Vesuvius eruption either as an interview of a character from the story or as a TV news report describing the event using effective voice, grammar, and editing. Use vocabulary from the story (and from Unit 6 vocabulary) to help you create a formal voice.
